Adegun brings more than two decades of experience spanning military special operations, corporate security governance, security technology, strategic risk advisory, and security operations across Africa, the Middle East, and other complex operating environments.
He currently serves as a Senior Security Director at one of the world’s largest private international non-governmental organisations, where he leads security strategy across the Middle East and Africa.
His career began with more than fifteen years of service in an elite special operations military unit, where he developed extensive operational experience in covert surveillance, close-quarter battle, urban warfare, mountain survival, and tactical operations in high-threat environments.
Following his military career, Adegun transitioned into corporate security and strategic risk leadership. He spent more than four years as a Senior Security Advisor at a global management consulting firm, advising on security and risk strategy across Africa.
He subsequently served as a Senior Security Consultant at an international risk consultancy, leading embedded security assignments across Gabon, Senegal, Cameroon, Ghana, and Burkina Faso.
His broader international experience includes serving as Director of Operations for the Middle East and Africa at an international security technology company; Protective and Data Security Manager for Sub-Saharan and Northern Africa at a multinational engineering and technology company; and Land Operations Manager for EMEA at a global private security services provider.
At AVZDAX, Adegun will advise the company on national security strategy, global partnerships, security doctrine, institutional engagement, and the operational application of predictive intelligence systems.
His appointment strengthens an important part of AVZDAX’s mission: ensuring that the technologies we build are informed not only by advances in artificial intelligence, data, and engineering, but also by a deep understanding of how security operations work in the real world.
